Artwork Requirements

Below are descriptions of the formats which we recommend when you are supplying artwork. The standard format for supplying digital artwork is via email. Email art to: art@plaque.com. Artwork may also be supplied on a PC formatted floppy or zip disk. NOTE: Digital artwork is not necessarily production-ready.

Black and white photostats are not acceptable artwork. An art charge will be incurred if photostats are submitted.

We accept art from the following programs:

• Adobe Illustrator
• Adobe Photoshop
• Corel Draw
• Quark

Also, Stuffit Deluxe, .sit, .zip, .sea files can be uncompressed.

Below are the art formatting requirements.

1. PC users:
   • Art must be saved in black and white vector line art mode.
   • Convert all text to curves.
   • Attach names of all fonts used in the art to the e-mail or cover sheet. Art charges will be incurred for font searching and matching.
   • Save files as an EPS file.
2. MAC users:
   • Repeat A-C above.
   • Use the "EXPORT" or "SAVE AS" commands, and transfer the data as an Adobe Illustrator EPS file for PC format.

Art Charges:

A minimum art charge of $25.00 will be incurred when art department time exceeds 15 minutes. Hourly rate $55.00.

There will be an artwork charge for all art that is not production-ready and exceeds 15 minutes to correct. Digital art is not necessarily production-ready. See the art specifications for clarification.

Photographs, photocopies, color layouts, halftones and letterhead are subject to additional artwork charges.

Typesetting, date changes, copy changes or art modifications have a minimum charge of $25.00 or $55.00 per hour.

An estimate of the charges to make artwork production-ready will be provided prior to production. Additional charges may be incurred if the art is not received via email or on disk. Call Customer Service for assistance. For rush orders where artwork charges are less than $25.00, production will not be delayed for art approval.
